If we consider the origin of our clients, we can certainly say that at the moment Russian and Ukrainian customers are among the most numerous.
In fact, Paraguay is one of the few countries in the world that welcomes without any kind of problem Russian and Ukrainian citizens who intend to leave their country and obtain a two-year residency (which can easily be converted into permanent residence after two years) and a Paraguayan biometric Identity Card.
To obtain the two-year residency and the Paraguayan biometric Identity Card, the clients from Russia and Ukraine must bring the following documents, which are the same for any other European citizen:
- Apostilled Birth Certificate
- Apostilled Criminal Record
- Apostilled Marriage Certificate (if they are married) or an apostilled Free State Certificate
In this regard, we are pleased to announce a great news: LIP offers a new service to its Russian clients and precisely LIP deals with apostilling the required certificates.
In Moscow, LIP has a very efficient office that deals with apostilling the certificates in just a few days, as soon as the client sends them to us.
For our clients coming from Ukraine we do not yet have a service of this type, but we know that in Ukraine the times required to apostill a document are much lower than in Russia.
The many customers who come from Russia want to reside in Paraguay to live, work, transfer their business here, open a bank account and acquire a Paraguayan driving license, but above all they require the Paraguayan biometric Identity Card to be able to travel freely throughout the South American continent without the need for a passport.
Welcoming the many Russian and Ukrainian customers is one of our main objectives for next summer.
