An ideal country to enjoy retirement

28/03/2018 By admin

After a life of work, it is very pleasant to live in a beautiful country, with wonderful landscapes, fascinating rivers and lakes, modern cities, excellent services and, on the contrary, a cost of economic life.

Paraguay is a country where everything is possible and where people can spend their second life quietly and safely.

Asunción: a beautiful city to live

If you prefer to live in an urban environment, Asuncion, the capital of Paraguay, offers many pleasant opportunities at the same time interesting. Indeed, Asunción is one of the most beautiful cities in South America and you will soon learn to appreciate it.

To go shopping, you can go to the Paseo La Galería, an outstanding shopping center, where you can buy everything you want and spend great days with your partner or with your friends.

You can enjoy nature without leaving the city visiting the Botanical Garden and the Asunción Zoo. In the Botanical Garden you can take long walks through the forest, where you will find exotic plants and animals of all kinds.

If you like art and culture, you can go to the well-known Museo del Barro. This museum houses a collection of indigenous art, an exhibition of contemporary art and a Ceramic Art Museum. It is an interesting space with typical elements of the culture of this country. Initially, it was a private collection that, due to its undoubted appeal, became a museum with a permanent space for its exhibition to the public, which has fascinated visitors since 1979.

In addition, to enjoy religious art you can go to the Museum of Sacred Art, where you can find beautiful Baroque sculptures of the Hispano-Guaraní style.

Another must-see area is the famous Memory of the City Museum, where you will see countless objects and photographs that testify to the history of the military dictatorship in Paraguay. An incomparable look at the History of Paraguay that many people appreciate every year.

We should write a book and not an article like this, because Asunción offers everyone many things to know and, if you move to Paraguay, you will see them!

Why it is better to retire in Paraguay if you are European

In the past, pensioners were considered the static elements of society. However, in the modern economy, made up of flows and fast flights, pensioners have also learned to have a mobile life.

They move from Europe to other European countries in search of sunshine and a more generous life. Pensioners have also revitalized the cruise business to the point of making it accessible to everyone. In addition, they have begun to face the digital technology and with it they have given the definitive backing to the Silver Economy.

European pensioners are a substantial number. For example, in Italy, it has a population of more than 16 million people: in a country of 60 million inhabitants, they have an objective weight, to which must be added the subjective weight, which is represented by their capacity to influence to parties and unions.

So, being interested in their new mobile lives is almost an obligation for economists.

Pensions

The pensioners are a broad and heterogeneous universe. Among them there are different types of “towns” and the easiest dividing line refers to the total of pensions that retirees receive, which are “generally better, because they are the result of longer and continuous contributory careers over time in sectors of employment with better labor relations “.

According to data from European Statistical Bodies, always taking Italy as a reference, in any case 25% of pensioners charge each month a pension of less than 500 euros, around 40% of them receive a pension between 500 and 1000 euros, on 23 , 5% charges an amount between 1000 and 2000 euros and only 3.2% exceeds 3000 euros.

In this context, a phenomenon that could be called “Social Security migration” was born.

The countries that are taking advantage of this migration with dexterity are some countries in southern Europe, but especially Paraguay.

Throughout the streets of Asunción or Encarnación you hear Italian spoken quite frequently.

The tax advantage on average is 25%, but it can vary depending on the different percentages and helps attract Italian and European pensioners in general, because it adds up to a very low cost of living. For example, a house for rent costs 200 euros, and with 7 euros you can eat in the restaurant.

After two or three years, expat pensioners usually acquire a house and invest between twenty and twenty-five thousand euros for a villa next to the beautiful banks of the Paraná River. Those who move to Paraguay, which has a constant temperature between 20 and 27 degrees, are especially pensioners over 65 and from the main European cities.

Tax-free pensions

In the first ten years of residence, the pension is practically free of taxes and, of course, this not only attracts Europeans, but also Americans, Canadians and Australians.

To obtain permanent residence, it is necessary to reside in Paraguay for at least six months of the same year and provide the required documentation (birth certificate, criminal certificate, etc.).

Those who move to Paraguay immediately appreciate the cost of living and its fiscal regime, but also value the high quality of their health services. That is why pensioners choose to live in the capital, Asunción, or in the beautiful city of Encarnación, which borders the beautiful city of Posada in Argentina.

We are currently bombarded by huge amounts of information requests.

In effect, formerly pensioners moved to Paraguay with an average income of 1000 euros per month, while nowadays also a large number of pensioners who have 2500 euros are transferred. The word-of-mouth effect has been felt visibly.

There are pensioners who live this particular type of emigration as an adventure, and there are also those who live this emigration as an inevitable necessity, but all share the thought of feeling victimized by unjust taxation in their countries of origin.

There are flows of Italian pensioners to other European or extra-European countries as well, but Paraguay is becoming, little by little, an extremely attractive destination.
