Beyond Pernanbuco

29/06/2018 By admin

When I was a kid, after a childish prank, my grandfather used to threaten me and my cousins that he would send us to Pernambuco. At the time Pernambuco was the most remote and exotic place about which we had never heard. That’s why, when I discovered Paraguay, my eyes flew away from the map and in a minute they covered the whole distance from Paraguay to Pernambuco. But Paraguay was farther away!

We are professionals and we are accustomed to work in different countries of the world, but we  noticed that as regards procedures to obtain permanent residence, there are an endless bureaucracy and an over taxation. There are even countries in which the employer can “withdraw” the passport of his employed, but then to give it back to him at his discretion. A situation much more like  the one of  the so called “indentured servants” in the last century, than the situation of employees of the second millennium. And all this happens even if immigration is not directly discouraged by the State. However, after a long administrative procedure, there is always a chance that your immigration/residence application will be refused.

  • As we saw earlier, Paraguay absolutely encourages immigration
  • The documents you need for immigration procedures are simple and fast
  • Requirements are minimal and quite reasonable
  • Paraguay does not tax your income coming from other countries (it is great for pensioners, who can receive their tax-free pensions, also for professionals who work online, even for landlords (locatori in italiano) and so on….

And that is not all: Paraguay certainly realizes that it absolutely needs the experience of  professionals from all sector to maintain and strengthen the fast development it reached in the last ten years. That is why in Paraguay you do not need to validate your academic qualification, on the contrary your qualification will be directly accepted.

To obtain permanent residence the candidate must submit:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Civil Status Certificate
  • Criminal Record
  • All documentation related to pension (for pensioners only)

That is what makes the difference: in  Living In Paraguay we are not only professionals of the only European Company specialized in legal advice for transfers and investments, but we ourselves experienced at first hand the same ups and downs of our clients.  Moreover, we have lived in different continents and we had to adapt to very different cultures and for this reason we know this experience at an absolutely practical level. We are speaking of emotions, of practical matters to solve: there is not only a matter of managing legal and bureaucratic procedures.

And more: being a team of European consultants we know at a cultural level both the starting point, that is the countries from which our clients come from and the end point, that is Paraguay, the country where our clients  are going to reside. That is why we can promptly offer the best solutions to live this experience in the simplest way. In this way, our clients are able to focus on what matters most to them: their family, their affairs, a visit to this wonderful country, their personal growth and so on….

Today, we are living in a more connected and in a more easily accessible world than it was at our grandfathers’ days. For this reason I am sure that if my grandfather was still alive, he would be delighted to see that their grandchildren not only knew Pernambuco, but they got much more: they found Paraguay, an extraordinary country!
