The excellent reputation of LIP has come to Australia and New Zealand and many of our clients who reside in these countries ask us how to obtain their residence in Paraguay and the Paraguayan biometric Identity Card.
We start immediately saying that these clients do not need an Entry Visa to Paraguay and they can use their passport without problems. They must only present their passport at their arrival at the International Airport of Asunción, but they must have a Residence Visa, that allows them to apply for their two-year residence permit in Paraguay, (and that after two years will be made permanent automatically) and the Paraguayan biometric Identity Card.
We LIP advisors take care of all necessary paperwork also to obtain this first residence visa and we fly with the Australian or New Zealander client to Argentina, by the Consulate of Paraguay, which is located precisely in Clorinda, a small town located just opposite the Paraguayan capital Asunción.

Please, note that the average time to obtain the residence permit is 5 months, the same time to obtain the biometric Identity Card.
Please, also note that the residence in Paraguay and the Paraguayan biometric Identity Card allow our clients to live and work in Paraguay, to practise their profession and using their qualifications without need of a validation in situ, to open a bank account, to start their business and to enjoy the same benefits of the Paraguayan residents.
Moreover, foreign people can benefit from VAT at 10% and, if they are pensioners can benefit from their tax-free pension.
